I am a passionate, driven, lifelong learner and educator. I grew up in the States, but have lived in Indonesia and the Philippines since 2002. I have since developed a deep interest in Asian culture which has subsequently enriched and enhanced my perception of what it means to be a truly global citizen.
I’m a Director of Technology, an Apple Distinguished Educator, Apple Professional Development Specialist, and COETAIL instructor. I’m also co-founder of Innovative Professional Development.
I’m a passionate photographer with works published worldwide and exhibitions shown in the U.S. and Asia. My photos and writing have been published on CNN International, Yahoo!, books, magazines and the United Nations among others.
I hold degrees in Engineering and Industrial Design with a Fine Arts major and a master’s degree in education.
I primarily shoot with with Sony, Fujifilm and Canon equipment. My main camera is currently a Sony A7RII and a Fuji X-T2.
I previously shot with Canon bodies for 15 years, including the 5D, 5DII, 6D and other APS-C bodies. I still use many Canon lenses with the Sony A7RII by way of a Metabones smart adaptor. This is changing as I slowly shift towards native Sony and Zeiss lenses.
I edit with Macs - a 27" 5K iMac, a 15" MacBook Pro, an iPad 10.5", and an iPhone 7+. My workflow consists of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and VSCO, but am always on the look out for new tools of the trade.
I carry my stuff around in Saddleback Leather bags or Crumpler bags depending on the weather and how adverse I am to slugging half a cow around my back.
If you have any questions, please do drop me a line!
Cheers from Manila, Philippines.
